Stunning Memorial is a ‘One-off’

The Royal Anglian Regiment appointed Fairhaven Stone to project manage and construct a memorial to commemorate the sacrifice of all the soldiers from The Regiment who died on duty around the world over the years.

The Memorial, located in the grounds of the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, was designed by architect Stephen Oliver of Rodney Melville & Partners and features a stunning bronze centrepiece statue by the sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley. Materials were sourced from within the Regimental area, wherever possible.

“I would like to thank Fairhaven Stone Ltd so much for their pivotal role in this project. It is quite magnificent and something we are all hugely proud of. Unlike any other project in our history, there will only ever be one Regimental Memorial, a one-off of immense importance and you can be very proud that you were a crucial part of the team that produced a work which will stand for all time and in all weathers. So, well done and congratulations, it is wonderful in all respects.”
